FAQ's
What is Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage, and how does it differ from manual lymphatic drainage?
Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage (BLD) is a specialized technique that combines rhythmic, firm, and fast-paced massage strokes to stimulate the lymphatic system, reduce fluid retention, and sculpt the body. Unlike traditional lymphatic drainage, which is slow and extremely gentle, the Brazilian method uses more pressure and sweeping motions to encourage faster results. It’s known for its instant slimming effect, helping to contour the body and reduce puffiness.
How soon will I see results, and how long do they last?
Many clients notice an immediate difference after just one session.
Results can last a week to several weeks, depending on lifestyle factors like hydration, diet, and physical activity. Regular sessions help maintain long-term results.
Is Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage painful?
No, BLD is not painful. Some areas with fluid retention may feel slightly sensitive, but most clients describe the experience as deeply relaxing and therapeutic.
Who can benefit from Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage?
BLD is great for anyone looking to detox, reduce bloating, and improve circulation. It’s especially beneficial for:
● Individuals dealing with bloating, swelling, or sluggish circulation.
● Post-surgical patients (e.g., liposuction, BBL, tummy tuck) to reduce swelling and speed up healing.
● Athletes and active individuals to support muscle recovery.
● Those with a sedentary lifestyle who experience fluid retention.
● Women during PMS or postpartum recovery.
How often should I get lymphatic drainage massage?
Frequency depends on your goals. Some people benefit from weekly sessions, while others see results with biweekly or monthly treatments.
How soon can I get lymphatic drainage massage after a surgery?
It depends on the type of surgery and your doctor’s recommendation. In many cases, Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage (BLD) can start within 1–3 days post-surgery if approved, using gentle techniques to reduce swelling and prevent fibrosis. Most clients benefit from 1–3 sessions per week in the first few weeks for optimal healing.
What should I expect after my session?
After your massage, you may feel lighter, less bloated, and relaxed. Some clients experience increased urination (a sign of detox), reduced puffiness in the face and body, and slight fatigue as the body processes toxins.
To maintain results, drink plenty of water, avoid salty foods, and engage in light movement like walking.
